Lecture at the Brinton Museum @ Brinton Museum

Penrose Place grand opening @ Penrose Place

Wacky Science @ Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library

SHERIDAN — Join Sarah Mentock of Science kids July 30 for “Wacky Science.” Children ages 10-16 are invited to learn cool scientific principles using everyday materials. Following the science activities, participants will have a pizza party. Both events are free. The event will begin at 11 a.m. in the Inner Circle at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.

Fitness highlight of Parkfit @ Kendrick Park

SHERIDAN — EMIT Technologies, the Recreation District and the Wellness Council have partnered to present ParkFit 2014. Every Wednesday throughout the summer from 12:10-12:50 p.m. a free fitness class will be offered at one of the local parks. The next session will be fitness by the YMCA at Kendrick Park. A full schedule of ParkFit events can be seen at www.wellnesscouncilsc.org. All members of the community are invited to these free events.

Crazy Days Sidewalk Sale

SHERIDAN— The annual Crazy Days will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday July 31 through August 2 all around Sheridan. A three-day sidewalk and in-store sale coordinated by the Historic District Promotions Committee. Sheridan County Fair @ Sheridan County Fairgrounds

SHERIDAN— The Sheridan County fair will kick off Thursday, July 31 at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. Open class entries can be submitted 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday at the Exhibit Hall. The deadline to sign up for pig wrestling is also Thursday, to take place Sunday, August 3, and you can pick up an entry form at the fairgrounds. For more information please go to www.sherfair.com

Farmers market featuring Canary Joe @ Grinnell Street Plaza

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Farmers Market will be held Thurdsay in the Grinnell Plaza. From 5-7 p.m. vendors will sell produce, arts and crafts and more as live music, children’s activities, demonstrations and nonprofit booths are hosted. Attendance is free for customers and vendor booths are available to rent. Flavor of the week will feature yoga @ Kula Space

SHERIDAN — In celebration of their fourth anniversary, the Kula Space will host “Flavor of the Week,” a weekly free class on Thursdays this summer at 5:30 p.m. Some of the free classes will request optional donations to support a local cause and suggestions of local causes to support are welcome.
