SHERIDAN — Registration for the 2017 Science Kids summer programs will begin March 1.

Programs planned for the summer include:

9- to 12-year-olds

• June 12-15 — Pop! Pencils Owls and Paint

• June 19-21 — Explorer Series

• July 6 — Medicine Wheel Adventure

6- to 8-year-olds

• June 26-28 — Hands On Nature

• July 10-11 — Audubon Adventures

• July 17-20 — Creeks and Critters

• July 31 & Aug. 1 — Young Naturalists

Science Kids is a nonprofit that hosts educational science-based summer classes for kids in Wyoming.

SC to conduct ‘Intense Innovation’ course @ Sheridan College Broadway Center

SHERIDAN — Sheridan College and Timberline Training will host a course on Intense Innovation from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Broadway Center.

The goal of the course is to help create a thriving culture of innovation within an organization. It will teach personal innovation skills, innovative idea creation and a process for implementation.

The cost of the course is $200, which includes lunch.

Science Saturday to focus on DNA @ Sheridan College

SHERIDAN — The next round of Science Saturday will take place this weekend at the Sheridan College Science Center and Mohns Building.

The topic for Saturday will be “DNA! You are unique.”

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and is free and open to children of all ages.

Science Saturdays are sponsored by the Sheridan College Museum of Discovery and Science Kids.

Brown Bag, After Hours lectures to focus on embracing change @ Downtown Sheridan Association

SHERIDAN — Lynn Gordon plans to focus on embracing change for the next round of Brown Bag and After Hours lectures.

The Brown Bag lecture is Tuesday at 12:10 p.m.

There will be a repeat presentation Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunches Tuesday.

Both lectures will be held at the Downtown Sheridan Association, located at 150 S. Main St.

Ucross new exhibit reception @ Ucross Foundation Art Gallery

UCROSS — The Ucross Foundation has opened a new show in its art gallery, “Views from Oregon: Sixteen artists.”

The show opened Feb. 6 and will run through May 12. A reception will take place April 22 from 4-6 p.m.

All 16 artists participating in the show are from Oregon and were artists in residence at Ucross between 2013-2016.

The Ucross Foundation Art Gallery is located at 30 Big Red Lane in Ucross.
