Special Olympics ‘Jackalope Jump’ set for Sat. @ Goose Valley Fire Department Station

SHERIDAN — The annual Special Olympics Jackalope Jump will take place Saturday at the Goose Valley Fire Department parking lot.

Registration for the event will begin at 11 a.m. with the jump starting at noon. The event will help raise funds for local Special Olympics programs.

WYO to host ‘Lights! Camera! Math!’ performance Sunday @ WYO Theater
Feb 26 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will host “Lights! Camera! Math!” at the WYO Theater on Sunday beginning at 4 p.m.

The program integrates math, magic, theater and digital technology to help youth understand that math can be fun.

The show is suitable for children in grades three through six. 

Tickets are $17 for adults, $12.50 for seniors and military and $10 for students.

Luminous Brewhouse to host Martin Sexton @ Luminous Brewhouse

SHERIDAN — Luminous Brewhouse will host musician Martin Sexton for a one-night addition to his national tour at 7 p.m. Tuesday. 

Sexton will extend his 2017 tour in support of his ninth studio release, “Mixtape of the Open Road.” 

“We have a great space, and fill a niche in Sheridan,” Luminous owner Seth Orr said.

“We are excited to host Martin Sexton,” he continued. “Sharing music like this with the Sheridan community is our way of saying thank you to our patrons — and to the whole town.”

Syracuse native Sexton got his start singing in the streets and subways of Boston in the early ‘90s. He has headlined venues from The Fillmore to Carnegie Hall and his songs have appeared in television series such as “Scrubs,” “Parenthood” and “Masters of Sex” as well as numerous films.

6- to 8-year-olds

• June 26-28 — Hands On Nature

• July 10-11 — Audubon Adventures

• July 17-20 — Creeks and Critters

• July 31 & Aug. 1 — Young Naturalists

Science Kids is a nonprofit that hosts educational science-based summer classes for kids in Wyoming.
