Ringley to present at BHCHS @ Big Horn Woman’s Club clubhouse

BIG HORN — Tom Ringley will give a presentation Sunday at the Big Horn City Historical Society meeting.

A carry-in potluck lunch will begin at 1 p.m. with the program to follow.

Ringley will give a presentation on his book titled “Wranglin’ Notes — A Chronicle of Eaton’s Ranch 1879-2010.”

He will tell the history of the Eaton brothers when they started their guest ranch business in 1879 in Medora, North Dakota. 

The meeting will take place at the Big Horn Woman’s Club clubhouse, located at 314 S. Second St.

WYO to host ‘Lights! Camera! Math!’ performance Sunday @ WYO Theater
Feb 26 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will host “Lights! Camera! Math!” at the WYO Theater on Sunday beginning at 4 p.m.

The program integrates math, magic, theater and digital technology to help youth understand that math can be fun.

The show is suitable for children in grades three through six. 

Tickets are $17 for adults, $12.50 for seniors and military and $10 for students.

Back country horsemen to meet @ ERA Carroll Realty

SHERIDAN — The Cloud Peak Backcountry Horsemen will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at ERA Carroll Realty.  

At the meeting, dates will be set for the upcoming year for trail and cleanup projects.

Programs planned for the summer include:

9- to 12-year-olds

• June 12-15 — Pop! Pencils Owls and Paint

• June 19-21 — Explorer Series

• July 6 — Medicine Wheel Adventure

6- to 8-year-olds

• June 26-28 — Hands On Nature

• July 10-11 — Audubon Adventures

• July 17-20 — Creeks and Critters

• July 31 & Aug. 1 — Young Naturalists

Science Kids is a nonprofit that hosts educational science-based summer classes for kids in Wyoming.

Ucross new exhibit reception @ Ucross Foundation Art Gallery

UCROSS — The Ucross Foundation has opened a new show in its art gallery, “Views from Oregon: Sixteen artists.”

The show opened Feb. 6 and will run through May 12. A reception will take place April 22 from 4-6 p.m.

All 16 artists participating in the show are from Oregon and were artists in residence at Ucross between 2013-2016.

The Ucross Foundation Art Gallery is located at 30 Big Red Lane in Ucross.
