Arvada-Clearmont High School drives safe

Clearmont — Arvada Clearmont High School is one of nine Wyoming high schools participating in Celebrate My Drive, a driving safety program sponsored by State Farm Insurance.

The program aims to celebrate the fun of new drivers receiving a driver’s license while teaching positive and safe driving habits to avoid car crashes. The program notes that car crashes are the number one cause of death for teenagers and a teenager’s first year of driving is the most dangerous.

To support the high school, all drivers are asked to visit and make a safe driving commitment once a day, every day until Oct. 26. High schools with the largest number of supporters are eligible for one of 10 $100,000 grants and 90 $25,000 grants. In addition, two schools will win the grand prize of a concert by Kelly Clarkson.
