SHERIDAN — The Sagebrush Community Art Center will offer a variety of art classes and workshops beginning in January.

These classes and workshops are open to all community members. For more information or to register, call 674-1970, or stop by the depot at 201 E. 5th Street.

January classes and workshops at the Sagebrush Community Art Center

Portraits with Kathy Sabine: 10-week class, Saturdays, 9 a.m.- noon, beginning Jan. 12

Watercolor with Nancy Buening: Two-10-week classes, Mondays, 6-9 p.m., beginning Jan. 14, and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m., beginning Jan. 17

Business of Art: Success Strategies in the Workplace: Tuesday, 6-9, Jan. 15 – Feb. 19 (this class will be held upstairs in the depot’s Board Room)

Drawing and Painting Workshop with Jenny Wuerker: 10-week class, Wednesdays, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. beginning Jan. 16

Colored Pencil with Dean States: 7-week class for advanced students, Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m., beginning Jan. 16

Home-Schooled Student Art Classes: grades 1-6: Elements of Art, with instructor Tena Twite, Mondays, 12:30-2 p.m.

Drawing Progressing to Beginning Painting, with instructor Sally Labore, Mondays, 2-4 p.m. for grades 7-12.

“Uncorked” Evening Painting Workshop with Sonja Caywood Jan. 22, 7-9 p.m. Paint your own 16 x 20 masterpiece with step-by-step guidance in this fun evening class. The cost for this class will be $35 per class, all supplies will be provided.
