JACKSON (AP) — Jackson is seeing several proposals for new and remodeled high-end hotels in town.
Hotel developers and managers say Jackson has room for more upscale hotels.
Associate broker Bob Graham tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide that many plans for such projects were put on hold when the recession hit, and some of those are now being reconsidered.
Graham says luxury lodgings will keep higher-end summer visitors in town and also could help the winter occupancy rate.
Jackson now has about 1,700 hotel rooms in the town and about another 1,000 in outlying parts of town.
Teton Village has about 1,000 rooms year-round.
