The Sheridan Community Land Trust will host a tour of the historic OW Ranch in Southern Montana on Saturday. The OW Ranch is owned by music industry legend Jim Guercio, best known for founding the Caribou Ranch — a recording studio where bands including Chicago, Elton John, Michael Jackson and many others created albums in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies. Guercio has restored the OW to its original state as it was when owned by Joh Kendrick, Wyoming’s ninth governor. The tour will take attendees through the ranch buildings and give an inside scoop on the history of the ranch as well as the current owner. Though the event is only open to SCLT members, all members of the community are encouraged to register to become a member and join the free tour. The tour will commence from a central location in Sheridan at 8:30 a.m. before carpooling to the ranch. Attendees are asked to bring their own lunches, beverages will be provided. Registration for the tour is requested by Thursday and can be made by emailing email@example.com. For more information or to become a member, see www.sheridanclt.org.
