‘I believe in Conservation’ photography contest exhibit opens @ Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle
Jun 1 all-day

SHERIDAN — The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming has announced that winning entries in its sixth annual “I Believe in Conservation” high school photography contest will be on display at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library in the Inner Circle from June 1-30.

“This contest is a wonderful opportunity to get students outside and encourage them to see the natural world in new and artistic ways,” Wyoming’s Director of Development Molly Hampton said. “We’re hopeful they make the connection to conservation through this creative process.”

Prizes were awarded in three categories including wild places, people and nature and wildlife. Community awards were also given in recognition of outstanding contributions from each participating school.

First place winners received $250 each, second place winners received $100 and third place and community award winners received $50 prizes.

Finalist and winning images from the 2014 contest have been on display around the state.

All Sheridan area high schools are encouraged to join the next contest.
