SHERIDAN — In celebration of its fourth anniversary, the Kula Space will host “Flavor of the Week,” a weekly free class on Thursdays this summer at 5:30 p.m.
Some of the free classes will request optional donations to support a local cause and suggestions of local causes to support are welcome.
This week’s class will be the final one of the summer and will feature yoga with Tracey.

SHERIDAN — EMIT Technologies, the Recreation District and the Wellness Council have partnered to present ParkFit 2014.
Every Wednesday throughout the summer from 12:10-12:50 p.m. a free fitness class will be offered at one of the local parks.
The next session will be circuit by the A.J. Sare at Thorne-Rider Park.

SHERIDAN— Santosha Yoga will be offering a free week of yoga and meditation Sept. 2-8.
Participants will get the chance to choose one free class during the week, receive discount prices for fall sessions, enter daily drawing for chamber bucks, and donate and vote for a local non-profit of your choice.

SHERIDAN— The Sheridan County Fairgrounds will be the host for “Sludge Trudge”, a 5k muddy obstacle run on Saturday. Competitive waves start at 9 a.m. with non-competitive waves from 10a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The kids race is at 1:30 p.m. with a harvest festival dinner at 7 p.m. If you plan to stay all day, bring lawn chairs, clean clothes, shoes and a towel. SHERIDAN — The next balance and movement with gentle yoga class with Cindy Baker has been scheduled for Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This class is designed to increase strength, balance, flexibility and to help people be more conscious of how they breathe. RED GRADE— The 37th Annual Red Grade Grind will be held on Oct. 4. Runners, walkers, and cyclists are welcome to join the three mile journey starting at the end of the pavement on Highway 335 and going to the top of Red Grade. It is about a 2,000 foot elevation gain. The event starts at 9 a.m. and will be held regardless of weather. There is no registration fee and interested participants can contact Curt Schwamb at 672-5416.
SHERIDAN— Bike-tober Fest is on Saturday, Oct. 11 and features mountain bike races and trail runs. Race registration includes chip timing, t-shirt, food and beer tickets, and admission to the after party with live music, kids’ races, and a raffle. SHERIDAN— The Sheridan YMCA is offering a free “Healthy Back Class” designed by medical professionals to help individuals strengthen their backs. It is a three week class, and the class is limited to 15 participants. You must sign up to be in the class by calling the YMCA at 674-7488. The program starts on Monday and runs Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:15-1:15 p.m. through Nov. 5.
