SHERIDAN— Registration is now open for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) class to be held on Thursday and Friday, July 17 and 18, from 8:15 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Wyoming Simulation Center, 245 Broadway St. The two-day ASIST class is designed to supplement a caregiver’s abilities to assist an at risk person. SHERIDAN— The annual Museum Day is on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 909 W. Ramshorn St., Dubois. Museum Day is sponsored by the Dubois Museum and the Dubois Museum Association and features children’s games, historic cabin tours, a quick draw and silent auction, live entertainment, and crafts and demonstrations.
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Police Department, the Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming and the Wyoming Department of Health will present a free TIPS Training on July 22. From 8-10:30 a.m. and 5-7:30 p.m. beverage service training for concessions will be offered at the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce. “Training for Intervention Procedures” is an internationally recognized alcohol awareness education program that includes subjects such as retail programs, college students and adult consumers. SHERIDAN— Jentel Artist Residency Program is pleased to present this month’s residents. “Jentel Presents” will take place Tuesday, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Sagebrush Community Art Center. This month’s presenters include an encaustic artist, a performance artist, a narrative fiction writer, a painter, a photographer and a fiction writer. The art center is located on the corner of Fifth and Broadway, and this event is free and open to the public.
SHERIDAN— The Wyoming Watercolor Society will have an awards ceremony and artists’ reception Thursday. They are hosting the 29th annual National Watercolor Exhibition again this year at the Sagebrush Community Art Center. The reception starts at 5 p.m., and refreshments are provided.
