First Light Children’s Center will host a community open house on Thursday.
Celebrating their second anniversary, the public is invited to help them “March into Year 3” from 5:30-7 p.m.
Birthday cake will be served as well as samples of the healthy lunches the children at the center receive from Volunteers of America’s Catering for a Cause.
Activities will also include tours of the facility, a staff meet-and-greet and the opportunity to learn more about the Highscope Curriculum taught at the school.

The Seventh biennial Big Horn Elementary All-Student Art Show at The Brinton Museum will open Thursday.
A reception will be held by the BHE Home and School Association on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Arvada Elementary students will host a concert tomorrow at the Powder River Community Center in Arvada. Commencing at 7 p.m. the students will present “The Blue Dog Blues.” the concert aligns with a “Blue Dog” project they have been working on in art class. The Sheridan County Museum will present “Behind the Scenes Saturday” and “Tidbit Saturday” this weekend.
This free event is open to all with no reservations required.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for a behind-the-scenes view at the museum’s operations.
The public is invited to come and see what goes on at the museum when the galleries are closed.
Attendees will see how employees take down old exhibits, care for the items entrusted to the museum and prepare new items and galleries for new exhibits.
There will also be Tidbit activities for children and parents.
Tidbit, the SCM Mouse, can be found in each exhibit at the museum and likes to share fun tales and treasures of Sheridan County’s history and children ages 5 to 10 are invited to attend with their parent or guardian for a variety of activities.
The museum is located at 850 Sibley Circle, off of the Fifth Street exit of Interstate 90.

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Farmers Market will be moved farther up Grinnell Street this Thursday, in front of The Sheridan Press, to celebrate the Third Thursday Street Festival. SHERIDAN— The annual Museum Day is on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 909 W. Ramshorn St., Dubois. Museum Day is sponsored by the Dubois Museum and the Dubois Museum Association and features children’s games, historic cabin tours, a quick draw and silent auction, live entertainment, and crafts and demonstrations.
SHERIDAN— The Sagebrush Community Art Center is hosting a kids summer art camp for ages 8-12 from July 21-24 from 1-5 p.m. each day. SHERIDAN — The next offering of the “Tidbit Tuesday” educational program at the Sheridan County Museum will be held next week. The program gives children and their families an opportunity to explore history together from 10 a.m. to noon every other Tuesday throughout the summer.
