‘Tidbit Tuesday’ set for next week @ Sheridan County Museum

SHERIDAN — The next offering of the “Tidbit Tuesday” educational program at the Sheridan County Museum will be held next week. The program gives children and their families an opportunity to explore history together from 10 a.m. to noon every other Tuesday throughout the summer. The events are free and open to all but space is limited to 24 children so pre-registration is requested. Subsequent activities will be on Aug. 5 and Aug. 19. Concert in the park features local artists @ Kendrick Park

SHERIDAN — The next Concert in the Park will be held Tuesday featuring the Sheridan Concert Band. From 7:30-9 p.m. in the Kendrick Park Bandshell, band members from all around Sheridan will perform a concert. The concert is free and open to all members of the community. Farmer’s Market with Mick Johnson Acoustic @ Grinnell Plaza

SHERIDAN — The annual Sheridan Farmers Market will commence Thursday at Grinnell Plaza. From 5-7 p.m. weekly on Thursdays vendors will sell produce, arts and crafts and more as live music, children’s activities, demonstrations and nonprofit booths are hosted. Attendance is free for customers and vendor booths are available to rent. This week features Mick Johnson Acoustic and youth activities. Spur Ranch Fest

SHERIDAN— Join the Wyoming Wilderness Association for the Spur Ranch Fest Sunday for biking, live music, beer, and more. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at 86 Peno Rd. and is a $10 entry free for adults, and children under 10 get in free. SCSD 2 final Kindergarten screening

SHERIDAN— Sheridan County School District 2 is holding a second opportunity for Kindergarten screening. All Kindergarten parents are urged to have their child attend this screening if they did not do so in April. Appointments can be made by calling 674-7405, extension 5105 no later than August 8. You can register your child for Kindergarten is Sheridan School District 2 at the screening. Parents and guardians need to bring a birth certificate and immunization records to the registration. 3-D Archery Shoot

SHERIDAN— The Sheridan County Sportsmans Association will hold a 3-D archery shoot Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m.  The family friendly event will be at Bear Lodge and costs $10 per shooter. If you want to shoot for competition, the cost is $20. There will be food and drinks available. The lodge is located at 5600 U.S. 14 in Dayton. SHERIDAN— Local musician and music therapist Michele Foster will present a free class on basic guitar skills. Folster will be at the Sheridan Fulmer Library on Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. This class is meant for beginners interested in learning how to play the guitar. SHERIDAN— Help the Sheridan Jaycees raise funds to prevent malaria in Africa. On Thursday, August 7, there will be family fun at Kendrick Park starting at 6 p.m. There will be live entertainment from the Boot Hill band, dance lessons, silent auction, food vendors, and adult beverages. This is a fundraiser for Nothing but Nets, an international organization that supplies bed nets to African families. The event is free, but donations are appreciated. SHERIDAN— The NSI Academy presents their fall fest Friday August 8 and Saturday August 9. On Friday there will be a Pig Spit BBQ and live music by The Craft Brothers starting at 6 p.m. On Saturday at 9 a.m., there will be a 5k Color Run that you can register online for. There will also be a lunch and a duck race. Both days will feature musical performances by the student body and inflatables for the whole family. This event is free and open to the public, but donations are welcome to establish a performing arts program at NSI Academy. The NSI Academy is located at 5 Lane Ln. SHERIDAN— Easter Seals, RENEW, and Eagle Ridge present “Superheroes in the Park” Friday at Kendrick Park. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. attendees are encouraged to come in a superhero costume, either a known superhero, or one of their own design, and enjoy games and a free lunch. There will also be inflatable slides, a superhero parade, and a photo booth. All programs provide for individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries.
