SHERIDAN — As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sheridan Memorial Hospital will host a community open house at the Welch Cancer Center on Monday from 4-6 pm.

The event aims to educate and promote the importance of early breast cancer detection for better treatment options and outcomes.

“The Welch Cancer Center and services provided there are dedicated to each and every cancer patient, survivors and their many care givers. It is an honor to practice medicine at the Welch and to work with a professional, highly trained staff who make patient safety a priority,” said Dr. Greg Marino, hematology and oncology physician at the Welch Cancer Center. “We truly care for our patients and their caregivers and we want to show off the state-of-the-art facility to our community. We encourage everyone to come and take a look, meet the staff, talk with doctors and understand what a great facility we have right here in Sheridan for our patients.”
