SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Senior Center will host another installment of its “When I’m 64 or More” life planning series Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the center.

The topic is downsizing your life and will be presented by Amanda Lawson of Caring Transitions and Shelley Kinnison of Real Estate Rehab.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Jentel Presents @ Sagebrush Community Art Center

SHERIDAN — The Jentel Artist Residency Program will host the next “Jentel Presents” Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Sagebrush Community Art Center.

The program is free and open to all members of the community. Light refreshments will be available.

This month’s presenters include poet Harry Moore of Decatur, Alabama; sculptor Debra Baxter of Santa Fe, New Mexico; non-fiction writer Rachel Monroe of Marfa, Texas; sculptor Cody VanderKaay of Oxford, Michigan; contemporary art advocate Julie Wills of Gunnison, Colorado; and Abel Macias of Brooklyn, New York, who seeks connection with nature in creative ways.

“Jentel Presents” is a community outreach program that features visual presentations and readings by the visual artists and writers at the residency.

Live from The Met: Il Trovatore @ WYO Theater

SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will present “Live from The Met: Verdi’s ‘Il Trovatore’” on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The performance is one installation of the series “The Metropolitan Opera: Live in High-Definition,” which transmits opera performances to movie theaters and other venues around the world as part of The Metropolitan Opera’s efforts to reinvigorate opera and reach out to a broader public.

The program allows audiences to experience the production at the same time as the audience in New York.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for students.

Tickets may be purchased on the phone at 672-9084 or in person at the box office, which is located inside the theater at 42 N. Main St.
