Kids’ art camp @ Sagebrush Community Art Center

SHERIDAN­— The Sagebrush Community Art Center is hosting a kids summer art camp for ages 8-12 from July 21-24 from 1-5 p.m. each day. There will be an acrylic painting class, jewelry making, ceramic painting, watercolor painting, and a picture frame making class. Registration is due by July 16, and each class costs $35. ‘Tidbit Tuesday’ set for next week @ Sheridan County Museum

SHERIDAN — The next offering of the “Tidbit Tuesday” educational program at the Sheridan County Museum will be held next week. The program gives children and their families an opportunity to explore history together from 10 a.m. to noon every other Tuesday throughout the summer. The events are free and open to all but space is limited to 24 children so pre-registration is requested. Subsequent activities will be on Aug. 5 and Aug. 19. Wyoming Wednesdays @ Wyoming Welcome Center

SHERIDAN — The Wyoming Office of Tourism will host the next event in a series of events called “Wyoming Wednesdays.” Informative and interpretive programs about Sheridan are being offered at 10 a.m. most Wednesdays throughout July at the Wyoming Welcome Center. At this week’s event, John Woodward, director of the Sheridan County Museum, will share information about the historic mining towns north of Sheridan. The events are free and open to everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic lunches and stay and enjoy the Visitor’s Center before or after each program. The center is located off of Interstate 90 on the Fifth Street exit. Trail maintenance in the wilderness

SHERIDAN — For the next event in a series of outings celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act of 1964 and the 30th anniversary of the Wyoming Wilderness Act of 1984, the Wyoming Wilderness Association will host a hike up Crystal Creek in the Gros Ventre Wilderness on July 24 to view nature at work. This includes an interpretive hike with Tim Farris as he explains backcountry trail maintenance. Hikers will learn how the Forest Service manages challenges in its trail maintenance program. Farmer’s Market with Mick Johnson Acoustic @ Grinnell Plaza

SHERIDAN — The annual Sheridan Farmers Market will commence Thursday at Grinnell Plaza. From 5-7 p.m. weekly on Thursdays vendors will sell produce, arts and crafts and more as live music, children’s activities, demonstrations and nonprofit booths are hosted. Attendance is free for customers and vendor booths are available to rent. This week features Mick Johnson Acoustic and youth activities. Spur Ranch Fest

SHERIDAN— Join the Wyoming Wilderness Association for the Spur Ranch Fest Sunday for biking, live music, beer, and more. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at 86 Peno Rd. and is a $10 entry free for adults, and children under 10 get in free.
