Retired Railroaders Day @ Sheridan Senior Center

Weekly event to feature Andy Edmundson and Bill Avery @ Kendrick Park

SHERIDAN — The next Concert in the Park will be held Tuesday and will feature the Sheridan Concert Band. From 7:30-9 p.m. in the Kendrick Park Bandshell, band members Andy Edmundson and Bill Avery will play sections from popular musicals. The concert is free and open to all members of the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food concessions will be available. For more information on the concert call David Kuzara at 751-7960.

Learn about forest service policies at ‘Wyoming Wednesday’ @ Wyoming Welcome Center

SHERIDAN — The Wyoming Office of Tourism will host the next event in a series of events called “Wyoming Wednesdays.” Informative and interpretive programs about Sheridan are being offered at 10 a.m. most Wednesdays throughout July at the Wyoming Welcome Center. At this week’s event, Cheri Jones of the United States Forest Service will talk about forest service policies and will focus on the Big Horn National Forest. The events are free and open to everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic lunches and stay and enjoy the visitor’s center before or after each program. The center is located off of Interstate 90 on the Fifth Street exit. Sock Hop in Story @ Story Women's Club

STORY— The Story Women’s Club is hosting a sock hop Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. You must wear socks, and hopefully dress in 50’s clothing. They will also serve cookies and punch.
