There will be a Fall Festival Dec. 7 at the Ranchester Town Hall. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose room and outdoors there will be a craft bazaar and free chili lunch. The Homemaker’s Holiday Bazaar is now the Pipberry Bazaar and will be at a new location. It will be Dec. 6 and 7. On Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. crafts, baked goods, candies, holiday decorations, children’s gifts and more will be available. The Story Library will host a discussion series titled “Americans on the Outside” starting in September.
This series will look at stories about the often unrecognized people in our country who live outside the mainstream of culture.
These novels encourage readers to see themselves through the eyes of fellow Americans who don’t, for various reasons, “fit in.”
The discussion group will meet one Monday a month from September through December at 6:30 p.m. at the Story Library.
The discussions will be moderated by Norleen Healy.

The United Methodist Church Cookie and Candy Sale will be on Dec. 14.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. over 1,000 homemade cookies and candies will be available including gluten-free and sugar-free varieties.
Shoppers can mix and match for $6 per pound.
