Land’s End concert @ First Baptist Church

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Arts Council in collaboration with the First Baptist Church will host a concert by Land’s End on April 2 at the church.

Land’s End is Canada’s premier classical chamber ensemble and will be joined by WYO Theater Executive Director Gerard Gibbs on oboe and Marcin Swoboda on viola.

A pre-concert talk will begin at 6 p.m. and the concert will start at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military and $5 for students.

Tickets are available at the WYO Theater box office, online at wyotheater.com, by phone at 672-9084 or at First Baptist Church.

Tickets will also be available at the door.

First Baptist Church is located at 3179 Big Horn Ave.

Farmers market @ Landon's Greenhouse and Nursery

Landon’s will also host its weekly farmers market from 9-11 a.m. April 2. It will feature fresh produce and goods from local vendors.

Sheridan College/Community Wind Ensemble concert @ Sheridan High School, Sue Henry Auditorium

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College/Community Wind Ensemble will perform a concert, “Pneumatic Portal: ‘P’ Music,” April 4 at 7 p.m. in the Sue Henry Auditorium at Sheridan High School.

The ensemble will be playing “Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo” (Malcolm Arnold, 1963); “Pageant” (Vincent Persichetti, 1954); “Paper Cut” (Alex Shapiro, 2010); “Pathfinder of Panama” (John Philip Sousa, 1915); and “Paris Sketches” (Martin Ellerby, 2004).

The concert is free and open to the public.
