Buffalo shop to feature Brooklyn potter’s work @ Margo’s Pottery and Fine Crafts
May 27 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

SHERIDAN — Margo’s Pottery and Fine Crafts will feature the work of Brooklyn potter Claire Weissberg this summer. The show will run from May 27 through Aug. 6, with a reception for the artist set for Friday from 5-7 p.m.

Weissberg’s porcelain pottery is all wheel-thrown and fired in an electric kiln at mid-range. The magazine Ceramics Monthly features a pitcher from the show in its May issue.

Weissberg has no employees. She throws, trims, glazes, fires, sells and packs and ships her own work from her studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Weissberg was born in New York City, studied pottery with Clary Illian in Iowa and Chiyoichi Shimizu in Japan. She received her Master of Fine Arts in ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been a full-time potter in Brooklyn since 1989.

For questions or more information, please call Margo or Carey at 684-9406. Margo’s Pottery and Fine Crafts is located at 1 N. Main St. in Buffalo.

Jun 2 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

SHERIDAN — Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will light up the Wyoming countryside June 2 with the Mountain West debut of the Dawn supercar. The launch will take place at The Brinton Museum, and offer guests an opportunity to experience the twin-turbo, 6.6-liter, V12 juggernaut in a setting that is quintessentially Rolls-Royce.
