Frontier Regulars to meet Saturday @ Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site

SHERIDAN — The Frontier Regulars, a living history organization, will conduct a public introduction, training and new recruitment program Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site.

Persons interested in learning more about the organization, which participates in Indian and Civil War demonstrations, are encouraged to attend. During the program current members of the Frontier Regulars will practice Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery drills.

There will also be a weapons demonstration on the military methods of firearms and artillery use, and a limited introduction into the Native American equipment and culture of the time.

Throughout the presentations, the public is encouraged to ask questions, meet with the group’s members, learn about the volunteer support activities and discuss the unit’s membership.

WYO Theater to host comedy @ WYO Theater
May 8 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will host Popovich Pet Comedy Theater on May 8 at 4 p.m.

The show will include comedy and juggling skills and the extraordinary talents of performing pets.

The event is part of the theater’s Children’s Educational and Family Series.

Tickets to attend cost $16 for adults, $12 for seniors and military members and $10 for students.

Chamber lunch set for May 11 at Best Western @ Best Western Sheridan Center

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon May 11 at 11:30 a.m. at the Best Western Sheridan Center.

The event includes a buffet lunch, followed by a brief business meeting and featured program.

The event is open to the public. The cost is $15 for the lunch.
