SHERIDAN — First Interstate Bank is participating in a statewide coat drive — “Coats and More” — that will take place Oct. 17-28.
Over the years, First Interstate Bank has collected more than 23,000 coats that have been distributed to community nonprofit partners and schools.
Participants are encouraged to donate coats, boots, hats, mittens, blankets and socks. Drop-off locations can be found downtown. Volunteers of America Northern Rockies will receive the items collected in Sheridan and distribute them to those in need.
SHERIDAN — The inaugural Sheridan Ski and Gear Swap will take place Oct. 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Henry A. Coffeen Elementary School.
The event is an equipment extravaganza where local vendors and outdoor enthusiasts will sell new and used gear.
Activities will include free recreation seminars. The gear swap is a fundraiser for the restoration of the Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area.

SHERIDAN — Halloween at the Black Tooth Brewing Company will take place on Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The event will include a dance with live music from Sheridan’s The Two Tracks band and Bill Heide will open the show.
Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.

SHERIDAN — A Halloween party will take place in Story on Saturday from 7-10 p.m. at the Wagon Box Inn.

SHERIDAN — Jentel Foundation will present current artists in residence at the Sagebrush Community Art Center on Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.
The artists will give presentations about their art.
The event is free and open to the public.
Presenters for November include novelist Allegra Hyde, of Peterborough, New Hampshire; printmaker Jennifer Basile, of Miami, Florida; fiber artist Carolyn Riman, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; painter Carol Griffith, of Orient, Ohio; mixed media artist Jennifer Murray, of Brooklyn, New York; and fiction writer Joseph Langdon, of Las Vegas, Nevada.

SHERIDAN — Classical Saxophonist Ashu will perform Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the WYO Theater.
Ashu has established an ability to communicate with audiences around the world through his charismatic and emotive performance style. While his virtuosity continues to thrill listeners, his artistry reaches far beyond this demonstrating a unique personality and musical voice.
