Wyoming Wednesdays @ Visitor's Center

SHERIDAN — The Wyoming Office of Tourism will host the next event in a series of events called “Wyoming Wednesdays.” Informative and interpretive programs about Sheridan are being offered at 10 a.m. most Wednesdays throughout July at the Wyoming Welcome Center. At this week’s event representatives from the Wyoming Fish Hatchery in Story will give us an overview of what happens at the hatchery. The events are free and open to everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic lunches and stay and enjoy the Visitor’s Center before or after each program. The center is located off of Interstate 90 on the Fifth Street exit. ParkFit 2014 @ Sheltered Acres Park

SHERIDAN — EMIT Technologies, the Recreation District and the Wellness Council have partnered to present ParkFit 2014. Every Wednesday throughout the summer from 12:10-12:50 p.m. a free fitness class will be offered at one of the local parks. The next session will be “Fun and functional circuits” by PurEnergy Wednesday at Sheltered Acres. A full schedule of ParkFit events can be seen at www.wellnesscouncilsc.org. All members of the community are invited to these free events.

Flavor of the week @ Jouney's center of wellbeing

SHERIDAN — In celebration of their fourth anniversary, the Kula Space will host “Flavor of the Week,” a weekly free class on Thursdays this summer at 5:30 p.m. Some of the free classes will request optional donations to support a local cause and suggestions of local causes to support are welcome. This week’s class will be essentials of pilates with Tessa on Thursday. For more information or to nominate a cause to promote contact Michele Fritz or Evelyn Ferrante at thekulaspace@gmail.com. SHERIDAN¬— The Spear-O-Wigwam Mountain Campus is having their second summer lecture Saturday from 1-3 p.m. The lecture will focus on edible plants of the Bighorn Mountains, presented by Bob Krumm, and Kent and Mark Andersen.
