Softball Association golf tournament set for Sunday @ Powder Horn Golf Club

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Softball Association will host a golf tournament fundraiser on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Powder Horn Golf Club in Sheridan.

There is an entry fee of $100 per person or $400 per team.

The Scramble format will include $5 mulligans that are two per player.

Pin and long drive prizes will also be available at the tournament.

Funds raised will go toward building the Doubleday Sports Complex.

‘UNPLUG: Mud, Bugs and Fish in Dayton’ set for Wednesday @ Scott Bicentennial Park

SHERIDAN — Unplug, a creative outdoor program for families, will host a hands-on experience with the Wyoming Game and Fish stream trailer on Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

The stream trailer is an educational tool that demonstrates how the natural movement of streams and rivers work.

Attendees will learn about fish with Trout Unlimited, do a cool water quality experiment with Sheridan County Conservation District and get personal with water bugs with a local entomologist.

Community roundtable discussion at Sheridan College @ Sheridan College Whitney Academic Center

SHERIDAN — A community roundtable discussion will take place at the atrium of the Whitney Academic Center at Sheridan College from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The event is to gather feedback regarding the future of higher education in Sheridan County.

Chamber Coffee in Dayton set for Sept. 28 @ Dayton Mercantile

SHERIDAN — The Chamber’s Business Reception and Expansion Committee will host a community-focused round table discussion over coffee on Wednesday at 8 a.m. at the Dayton Mercantile.

The discussion is for those who are interested in current issues and happenings in Dayton, Ranchester and Sheridan County.

The event is free and open to the public.
