Cloud Peak Back Country Horseman meeting @ Carroll ERA Reality

The Cloud Peak Back Country Horseman will host a meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The meeting, to be held at Carroll ERA Reality, is free and open to all members of the community.

Discussions will include Forest Service projects, the Red Grade project and the state rendezvous.

ERA is located at 306 N. Main St.

Wyoming Wednesday @ Wyoming Welcome Center

The final Wyoming Wednesday program of the summer series will be presented Wednesday.

Activities will take place at 10 a.m. at the Wyoming Welcome Center located off the Fifth Street exit of Interstate 90.

Wyoming Wednesday has been offering informative, interpretive programs about the Sheridan area and Wyoming weekly. Emphasis has been placed on culture, history and events.

The event are free and open to all.

The next event will feature the Sheridan County Museum Director, John Woodward, as he presents on the importance of the buffalo in our area’s history.

ParkFit – disc golf @ Sheltered Acres Park

The weekly afternoon outdoor fitness sessions, Sheridan ParkFit, will continue Wednesday with disk golf at Sheltered Acres Park.

Each Wednesday through Aug. 26 free community workouts will be offered at a variety of parks. All members of the community are invited to attend.

This year, points will be given for each activity you attend and you can play as an individual or team. Awards for the most points will be given out at the last session on Aug. 26, at which time the winning team will determine the final activity.

Field Sketching for Children @ The Brinton Museum

The Brinton Museum, Sagebrush Community Art Center and Science Kids will present “Field Sketching for Children” on Thursday.

Local artist Joel Ostlind will host a field sketching workshop for children 8 to 12 years old on The Brinton Museum grounds.

Participants will meet at the Sagebrush Art Gallery located in the Historic Train Depot at 201 E. 5th Street at 8:30 a.m. and ride the Science Kids bus to The Brinton Museum.  The bus will return the participants to the Sagebrush Art Gallery at 1:30 p.m.

Art supplies will be provided; participants need to bring their own water, lunch and snack.

Cost is $35 per child.
