The individual work of four Sheridan College art students will be on display Thursday from 4-6 p.m. in the Griffith Memorial Building at Sheridan College, room 141. The Art Portfolio class Open Studio is free and open to the public. Art students Ivy Harbour, Alex Eisele, Chalice Weichman and Jasmine Vaira will exhibit pieces in two and three dimensional art. The Sheridan-Johnson County chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The program is free and orderin dinner from the menu is available but not required.
Following dinner, around 7:15 p.m., archaeologist Kristin Hare will make a presentation examining recent site work conducted at Yellowstone Lake.
The university studied severa sites along Clear Creek revealing information about its active use in prehistory.
Hare is a graduate student of anthropology at the University of Montana in Missoula and works as a Cultural Resource Technician at SWCA Environmental Consultants in Sheridan.
