SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library’s Tween Club will gather to learn about silent films Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.

The Tween Club meets every Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Topics planned for the rest of the year include GPS/GIS and a New Year’s Eve party.

“Eat Your Homework” lecture @ Sheridan Senior Center

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Senior Center will host another edition of its “When I’m 64 or More…” lecture series Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheridan Senior Center.

The lecture, “Eat your homework,” will be presented by registered dietitian Georgia Boley. Boley will discuss making evening snacks with recipes you can repeat at home.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Jentel Presents @ Sagebrush Community Art Center

SHERIDAN — The Jentel Artist Residency Program will host the next “Jentel Presents” Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Sagebrush Community Art Center.

The program is free and open to all members of the community. Light refreshments will be available.

This month’s presenters include oil painter Lynette Lombard of Galesburg, Illinois; photographer Nancy Floyd of Atlanta, Georgia; short story writer Allison Alsup of New Orleans, Louisiana; author, filmmaker, producer and former journalist Melissa Burch of Cambridge, Massachusetts; sculptor Molly Sawyer of Asheville, North Carolina; and social practices artist Katerie Gladdys, Gainesville, Florida.

“Jentel Presents” is a community outreach program that features visual presentations and readings by the visual artists and writers at the residency.

Holy Name School art exhibit reception @ Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library

SHERIDAN — An artists reception for the Holy Name Catholic School’s 17th annual all-school art show will take place Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.

The reception will take place in the library’s Inner Circle and will feature the art of students in preschool through eighth grade. There will also be a special exhibit featuring artwork created by the students that was inspired by the work of Claude Monet.

The show officially opens Thursday and will be on display through Jan. 30.

Both the reception and show are free and open to the public.
