May 30 @ 8:00 am

SHERIDAN — Bob Giurgevich will lead a field trip to the Amsden Creek area on May 30 for the Bighorn Native Plant Society.

The Bighorn Mountains are renowned for their wildflower displays, and the trip will involve identifying spring flora in the Amsden Creek area.

The field trip is free and open to the public.

Those interested in attending should meet at 8 a.m. at the recycling bins located in the Kmart parking lot on North Main Street. Participants will then caravan to Amsden Creek.

Participants should bring a sack lunch or snacks and plenty of water.

The Bighorn Native Plant Society was established in 2000 as a nonprofit organization “dedicated to encouraging the appreciation and conservation of native flora and plant communities in the Bighorn Mountains and adjacent plains.”

For more information call Giurgevich at 672-5064.
