DSA project manager elected to Wyo. Farmers Marketing Board

SHERIDAN — The Downtown Sheridan Association announced this week that project manager Bonnie Gregory was elected to the Wyoming Farmers Marketing Board of Directors earlier this month.
Locally, Gregory manages the DSA’s Sheridan Farmer’s Market which takes place Thursday evenings in the Whitney Commons during the summer months. This year’s season will take place between July 18 and Sept. 5 with the Harvest Fest being held Sept. 14.
Last fall, the Wyoming Business Council announced that farmers markets across the state contributed more than $1 million to the Wyoming economy in 2011.
The agency also found that economic activity generated by farmers markets supported the equivalent of nearly 10 annual jobs with a labor income totaling nearly $244,000.
