SHERIDAN — David W. Wallace, 30, of Story died in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 six miles east of Sheridan Sunday.
According to the report from Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wallace was eastbound on I-90 when his vehicle drifted off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a guardrail. Wallace then overcorrected to the left which caused the vehicle to spin counter-clockwise going across both eastbound lanes and collide with the guardrail on the left side of the roadway.
When the vehicle hit the second guardrail, it vaulted over it and rolled one and one-half times down a steep embankment in the median. Wallace, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the cab of the pickup truck. The vehicle was not visible from the roadway and was discovered some time after the crash.
