LARAMIE (AP) — Wyoming is back in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament and the Cowgirls will host Northern Colorado on Thursday in the first round.
The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. at Arena-Auditorium.
This is the sixth time the Cowgirls have appeared in the postseason under head coach Joe Legerski. The Cowgirls won the 2007 WNIT title and earned a bid to the NCAA tournament in 2008.
Wyoming enters the tournament with a 24-7 record.
The Bears are 20-12. They are a member of the Big Sky Conference.
The winner will play either Seattle or St. Mary’s in the next round.
