WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — Science Kids is offering children ages 6-10 a chance to explore the wet and wild areas in and around Sheridan.
The “Creeks and Critters” class will be held July 15-18 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day.
Students will search for and learn about the animals that live near these riparian areas, both near to and in the water, including macroinvertebrates — insects that begin their life underwater.
With instructor Emily Emond, students will complete a field journal, record their findings and perform scientific experiments.
Dress appropriately for outdoor activities and bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, hat and sunscreen.
The cost is $105 and all materials will be provided.
See www.science-kids.org for more information or to register.
