Jets finish strong against Regulators

SHERIDAN — The Jets just missed a two-game sweep Saturday afternoon.

Sheridan fell 7-6 to the Billings Regulators, later winning 14-4 to earn the doubleheader split.

Sheridan scored four runs in the first inning and ran away with game two, scoring at least one run in each frame.

Tyler Stauffer and Max Lube each had three RBIs, and Turner Martini and Kris Clark each tallied three hits in a game that the Jets were 15 of 28 in their team at bats.

Davis Alden recorded the win for Sheridan on the mound.

A seventh-inning run broke a 6-6 tie and gave the Regulators the win in game one. The Jets had five errors in the contest. Clark and Martini each had two RBIs on two hits apiece.

Sheridan sits at 10-21 overall, and moves into the final month of their season in which they’re scheduled to play five home games, culminating in their host State B Tournament July 25-28 at Thorne-Rider.
