WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Senior Center’s Day Break elder care program has announced the availability of scholarships for seniors who would benefit from a supervised day routine.
The opportunity to engage in meaningful activities is essential to human health. Day Break can provide entertainment and companionship for individuals who are isolated and often alone. Day Break staff partners with caregivers to provide a break from the important yet strenuous task of taking care of someone.
These scholarships are available for those wishing to participate in the Day Break program but feel prohibited due to finances.
These scholarships are provided through the generosity of caring people in our community who have witnessed the power of the Day Break program and saw a need for those of lowest income to be able to utilize the services.
The Day Break program offers a wide variety of individual and group activities based on the preferences and desires of attendees.
Activities range from recreation, creative projects, exercise, enjoying good food and community outings.
Day Break is all about fun. Contact Barb Blue about the program at 672-2240 for more information. All calls are kept confidential.
