SHERIDAN — Science Kids is offering an “Art of Birding” class July 8-11 for children ages 9-11.
This class will combine science and art to learn about ornithology — the study of birds.
Birds are everywhere and participants will learn how to identify the different types by their color, song, behavior and habitat.
The second part of each day will incorporate art as a way to enhance what has been learned about birds.
The instructors are Arin Waddell and Sarah Mentock. The class will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
Dress appropriately for outdoor and art activities and bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, hat and sunscreen.
The cost is $115 and all materials will be provided. See www.science-kids.org for more information or to register.
