SHERIDAN – The Sheridan Planning Commission did not make quorum at its regularly scheduled meeting Monday. Four out of seven planning commission members were unable to attend the meeting due to unforeseen circumstances and illness, according to Planning and Development Director Robert Briggs.
Once it was determined that there were not enough commissioners to conduct business, the meeting was adjourned. There was no discussion on any items on the agenda.
Slated for Monday’s meeting was a rezone of property south of First Federal Savings Bank on Illinois Street from R-2 Residential to B-1 Business.
Briggs said city staff have received some comments from concerned residents who live nearby.
Consideration of the rezone request, including a staff presentation and public hearing, will be rescheduled for the July 8 planning commission meeting.
