LARAMIE—Wyoming track and field coach Bryan Berryhill announced Friday afternoon the addition of 16 student-athletes to his roster for the 2013-14 season.
The 16 newcomers are Katelyn Davis (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Danielle Alexander (Cheyenne), Shana Wilcoxson (Burns), Logan Yurek (Cheyenne), Rachelle Leseberg (Dubois), Sidney Merrill (Akron, Colo.), Robert Wingeleth (Lyman), Ryan Rogers (Fort Collins, Colo.), Cody Jerabek (St. Paul, Minn.), Jordan Charles (Aurora, Colo.), Stephen Kristy (Hettinger, N.D.), Thomas Atkinson (University of Liverpool), Harry Fisher (Cardiff Metropolitan), Dylan Morin (Sheridan), Garrett Westlake (Gainesville, Fla.) and Michael Rotellini (Sheridan).
“We like who we’re bringing into the program and feel that all of them can come in and make an immediate impact,” Berryhill said. “The class is a solid mix of great high school athletes or transfers from other universities who have proven what they can do. With the incoming talent we’ll have, we feel we are headed in the right direction to complement the great athletes already returning.”
The additions bring the 2013 class to 26 as the other 10 newcomers were announced in February.
“Dylan had a great career at Sheridan High School before spending the last two years running for the Washington Huskies,” Berryhill said. “He is a very talented runner and his experience of running in the PAC-12 will help him become a very successful runner for the Cowboys. He has amazing leadership skills and we look for him to be one of the leaders of our cross country team this fall.”
Morin graduated from SHS in 2011.
“Michael had a great career for Sheridan High School,” Berryhill said of the 2013 graduate of SHS. “He is a very tough athlete and will add immediate depth to our distance and cross country teams. He is also a very good student and has the type of character we want on our team at Wyoming.”
