Re: Enjoy local attractions
When Bev and I moved here in 1990, we liked the quality of life here and we saw great potential. We’ve not been disappointed. Sheridan has an amazing park system, a growing theater arts presence, an excellent college, great volunteer groups doing amazing things. There are several fine restaurants, concerts in the park, great walking paths, museums and many outdoor opportunities.
There is much to enjoy: The Brinton Museum and other art galleries, the historical sites, explore the Library’s Wyoming Room, Tongue River Canyon.
The visitors are well traveled and well educated, and come from dozens of states and from around the globe. Our visitors tell us that Wyoming folks are accommodating and caring and helpful; they say Sheridan is a top-notch place.
My recommendation to my fellow residents? Get out and be a “tourist” a couple of times this summer. Enjoy what we offer the rest of the world — our diverse, colorful, interesting and friendly hometown. Then send yourself a tourists’ postcard.
