Lady Broncs tie Riverton

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan girls soccer team had plenty of chances in its season opener, but didn’t put the ball in the back of the net as they played to a 0-0 tie in Riverton Friday.

“I felt we did a decent job controlling the game,” said Sheridan coach Tom Racette. “I wouldn’t say we dominated the game, but we controlled the ball more than Riverton did.”
Racette said his team played very well defensively and yielded very few offensive opportunities to Riverton.

He said freshman Lauren Passini and senior Celena Kelly particularly stood out on defense for the Lady Broncs.

Sheridan will play in a jamboree in Casper today where they will face Kelly Walsh, Rock Springs and Natrona. Games begin at 10 a.m.
