Science Kids presenting ‘Plant Quest!’ June 17-20

SHERIDAN — Science Kids will present “Plant Quest!” on June 17-20 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Early humans didn’t have a grocery store or mall to provide for their everyday needs. Food, clothing and medicine had to come from the natural world around them.

Participants will follow in the footsteps of Native Americans and pioneers and learn about the medicinal, edible and poisonous plants of our area.

A variety of ecosystems will be explored and major plant groups identified. Dress appropriately for outdoor activities and bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, hat and sunscreen. Kris Korfanta will be the instructor.
Plant Quest is for children ages 9-11. The cost is $105 which includes all materials.

See www.science-kids.org for more information or to register.
