WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — The powerful rainstorm was enough to cancel the Troopers first home game in a month Tuesday night.
With the rainout, the Troopers have lost seven games to inclement weather, and while they hold a 2-0 conference record, they’ve played a just 15 games this season.
Sheridan will try to make up time on the field this weekend in a special setting as they head to Omaha, Neb., where they’ll play five games.
Along with getting to play some unique competition, Sheridan will get to watch the College World Series, which begins Saturday. The Troopers are scheduled to begin play Friday at 5 p.m., with games against the Centaurus Warriors of Lafayette, Colo, and then against Creighton Prep at 8. They play two more teams from Colorado over the weekend. Sheridan returns home at 5 p.m. June 20 to play the Billings Halos.
NOTE: The Sheridan Jets play the Billings Cardinals today at 1 and 3 p.m. in Billings. They’re back home Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m.
