SHERIDAN — Sheridan College’s Spear-O-Wigwam Mountain Campus is offering “Birding Basics: From Your Backyard to the Bighorns” June 14-16.
This is a weekend of immersion in bird identification by sight and sound.
It will include both classroom and outdoor activities.
Learn the basics of bird watching with an emphasis on birds of the Bighorn Mountains and surrounding valleys.
Participants will learn about using binoculars and how to effectively use a field guide.
This class is geared toward beginners age 16 and older, but even seasoned birders are welcome to attend as a refresher.
The class cost is $325 which includes lodging and meals.
The class will be held at the Spear-O-Wigwam Mountain Campus on Red Grade Road in the Bighorn Mountains.
Julie P. Rieder will be the instructor.
