Sheridan grad to serve D.C. internship

SHERIDAN — Emily Beagle of Sheridan has been named by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to the 2013 Washington Internships for Students of Engineering program.

This summer Beagle, a master’s student at the University of Wyoming, will spend nine weeks in Washington, D.C., where she will meet government representatives about important issues involving technology.

Her areas of interest include renewable energy, alternative energy policy, and environmental politics and law.

The WISE program aims to educate future leaders of the engineering profession on the public policy process and to encourage technical input in legislative decision making.
