SHERIDAN — A drivers education class for high school students is planned for June 10-12.
The 15-hour class is part of the 30 hours required by state law for youth to obtain a driver’s license by the age of 16 1/2. In order to attend the class, students are required to have completed the health class at Sheridan High School, have a permit to drive and have use of a car.
Students will schedule six hours of driving time and six hours of riding with and observing a driver.
The class will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day in the old health room at Sheridan High School.
Attendance at each day’s class is required for successful course completion.The class fee is $200, payable at the start of the course.

Students who have not registered in advance may show up on the first day of class to participate. The next class will be July 8-10.
