VA names nurses of the year

SHERIDAN — In honor of National Nurses Week, Director Debra L. Hirschman of the Sheridan Veterans Affairs Health Care System announced last week that Mountain View Living Center Nursing Assistant Stephanie Copp, Medical Unit LPN Rita Patterson, Education RN Kyle Rhone and Medical Unit RN Cheryl Wieland are the 2013 Nursing of the Year recipients. Each year four members of the nursing department are chosen to receive this prestigious award from their peers.

“Each of these nurses play a vital role in the care we give to veterans every day. With their dedication and commitment to nursing veterans across Wyoming are receiving the highest quality of care that they deserve,” Hirschman said in a press release.
