Registration under way for First Light summer and fall programs

SHERIDAN — First Light Children’s Center, a nonprofit learning center for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, is now accepting registrations for the summer enrichment program from June-August and for the fall programs that start in August.

First Light has developed a creative summer program called “Come Explore with Us” that includes a focus on health and wellness, the environment and the rich history of the Sheridan area.

Programs during the academic year include two- , three- and five-day programs, and extended day preschool and after-school enrichment program options.

Founded on the vision of “Building a Community of Healthy Families,” the Center uses a project-oriented, emergent curriculum model inspired by the HighScope schools.

Registration for all programs is on a first come, first served basis.

Interested parents are invited to an open house Tuesday from 4-7 p.m., or call Director Willy Maxwell at 673-0403 to receive a brochure and arrange a time to visit the Center.
First Light Children’s Center is located at 366 E. Brundage St.
