SHERIDAN — Addictions support group Celebrate Recovery is set to host the showing of feature film “Home Run” at the Centennial Theatre starting Friday.
Celebrate Recovery training coach Christine Keoke said the film was chosen for its message of second chances in the telling of one man’s struggle to find peace in spite of his troubling past.
A 12-step recovery program for area residents struggling to overcome any sort of life hindrance, Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday evening at Cornerstone Church. Meetings begin with dinner at 6 p.m. and continue on to various discussion and fellowship groups.
Members come to discuss issues including drug and alcohol abuse, anger issues, sexual addiction, co-dependency and control issues among others.
Tickets for “Home Run” can be purchased at the box office for the regular price of $8.50.
The movie is directed by David Boyd and stars Scott Elrod and Vivica A. Fox.
Showings will tentatively run through May 16.
