Bill G. Reed August 15, 1932 – April 21, 2013

Bill G. Reed passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2013. He was born in Lewistown, MT to George & Edith (Schrader) Reed on August 15, 1932. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1952 and attended what is now Sheridan College. He married Emma Jane Williams (nka Martin) and they had three children, Joyce Reed-Chapman (Mary) of Las Vegas, NV, William “Bill” Reed, and Sandra Lavin (Tom) both of Casper, WY. He later married Debra M. Denton and were subsequently divorced. He retired for an agency of the USDA after 20 years of service and had been in farming/ranching his entire life. His most recent endeavor was raining and showing Registered Lowline Black Angus cattle. He had taken many top prizes in the Wyoming State Fair, Denver Stock Show, NILE in Billings, MT, and Eastern Idaho State Fair. Bill was a man who lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting in his beloved Big Horn mountains, fishing and camping/ATVing with his family. He also loved to tell “stories” to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Howard Reed of Ontario, CA. His is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Schreibeis (Gene) of Worland, WY and Donna Jacobs of Sheridan, WY, one brother, Walter Reed (Sandra) of Canton, TX, his three children, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April, 27, 2013 from noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza Riverside, 300 W. F Street, Casper, WY. Memorial may be made to the donor’s choice.
