Kirol wins UW thesis award

SHERIDAN — The University of Wyoming presented Christopher Kirol with the 2013 Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award at a ceremony in Laramie on April 24.

His thesis titled “Quantifying Habitat Importance for Greater Sage Grouse Population Persistence in an Energy Development Landscape,” done with his advisor Dr. Jeffery Beck in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management, competed with more than 60 departments and colleges at UW to win the top award for master’s students.

Kirol, a wildlife biologist, resides in Sheridan with his wife and daughter and works for Big Horn Consultants.
