SHERIDAN — Audible crossing signals are up at several lighted intersections around Sheridan.
When the button on the light pole is pressed, a chirp or cuckoo sound indicates it is safe for a pedestrian to cross.
This benefits those with visual impairments who don’t see traffic well.
Jim Evensen, district traffic engineer with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, will hold a meeting for anyone interested in knowing where these crossing signals are and how they work or anyone wanting to give feedback about them.
The meeting will be Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Sheridan Senior Center community room.
